amaretti cookies

Munich has a lot of Italian influence - from the architecture and delicious restaurants, to men who ventured up from Italy that greet women with 'Ciao Bella'. Unfortunately the siesta hasn't quite caught on here, but the coffee culture has.

My favorite thing about coffee, is the amaretti cookies that typically accompany a cappuccino. That would be my favorite part since I don't drink coffee. The soft ones are especially delicious.


Lately I can't eat enough of them. I'm going to try to make my own in the coming days. Not that I need more... but I have been riding my bike a lot and will have plenty of time to bake with German class ending.
