Englisher Garten

Today we spent a day enjoying Bavarian foods at Nockherberg and then walking around the Englischer Garten. We even saw Ottfried Fischer (a political comedian) at Nockherberg.

Lauren had plenty of firsts today - a weißwurst experience, going to the biergarten, and of course drinking on the streets. She also couldn't believe it's legal to drink in the car, which I also think is ridiculous.

I love to be reminded of little things that have become common place for me. She thought that was hilarious how we broke so many American laws and here they are legal.

The Englischer Garten is such a great place to spend an afternoon. It's great for people watching and there are so many interesting things going on... dogs playing in the water, people trying to walk tightropes, plenty of greenery, and of course drinking a beer at the park.

It looks like you too had a beautiful day yesterday. It seems like you guys made a good choice to have a relaxing day following your Oktoberfest and Coldplay day!

The Englischer Garten is so beautiful and I would love to live in a city with a park like that. Unfortunately we didn't have time to eat or drink at the garden.

I love your blog. Thank you to Bluefish for giving you an award or else I might not have known about you.

I look forward to catching up on your adventures in Munich and figuring out just how you ended up in Bavaria.

All the best to you and enjoy the end of Oktoberfest, if it hasn't finished already.

Jessica ;)

Sorry everyone for not being up on my blog lately! Life has definitely been busy.

Allison...
you definitely have to hit up the English Garden when you come - it always provides a great day!

I never lived in a city that had such a nice park either. It's too bad more cities don't have similar public areas. I would definitely miss that if I ever move. Thanks so much for the award! That's so very nice of you. I'm going to be updating things in the coming days. We just got back from Prague.

You have certainly not been forgotten! There's a surprise on it's way... if only the Deutsche Post wasn't so slow.

Jessica...
I'm glad that you found me thanks to Bluefish! The short story is that my husband is Bavarian, which is why I'm here. It's been a fascinating adventure! Oktoberfest just ended this past weekend while we were in Prague. I'll write more about that as soon as I can!
