I too find it...Your post has such a sweet ending!! I too find it quite frustrating that they rarely include wives in company celebrations. My MIL told me once that in the past, when my FIL worked for BASF, EVERY work function was plus one- including a week in Greece! I guess times have changed here some, maybe we're here at the wrong time. But there are silver linings to every cloud, you will be back soon with your parents.
